Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking a reliable 1st Shift Shipping Clerk for an established manufacturing facility in Sparks, MD. This onsite role supports outbound shipping operations within a clean, team-oriented warehouse environment. The Shipping Clerk will play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely shipment of products distributed nationwide and internationally.

This position offers a competitive hourly pay range of $18-$20, with consistent first-shift hours and a stable work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Direct the flow of packages from preparation through shipment
• Palletize packages designated for shipment
• Load packages, pallets, and bundles onto trailers
• Use scanning devices and warehouse technology to verify shipments
• Consolidate and organize freight in common staging areas
• Create, update, and maintain shipping documentation
• Prepare commercial invoices and required international shipping documents
• Manage shipping paperwork including ASNs, pick slips, bills of lading, and export documentation
• Coordinate with production, customer service, and supply chain teams to improve efficiency
• Schedule truck pickups and outbound shipments to align with production timelines
• Meet delivery, quality, and cost performance goals
• Track metrics, analyze data, and recommend process improvements
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety guidelines, and applicable regulations

Qualifications

• 1+ year of warehouse or shipping experience preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to lift 50-70 lbs independently and 100+ lbs with team assistance
• Willingness to operate a forklift after training
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Results-oriented, dependable, and detail-focused
• Adaptable team player with a strong sense of accountability
• Reliable transportation required (location not accessible via public transit)

Work Schedule

• 1st Shift
• Monday through Friday
• 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
